Hiya, seekers!
Today, we have a little peek (thanks to official announcements) of the "Lost Lighthouse" quest line. This quest line, it seems, is all about scrubbing the scum and villainy off the coastline, (kind of like cleaning up an oil spill), that took root after "The Great War", that gives us the current setting in Forsaken World. "Grab your suntan lotion, kids...we're going to the beach!"The number "30" gets mentioned, here...I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that it's *not* a 30-man instance, but a quest line available at Level 30. You will start from a secure location, and follow along with the security forces across forests, caves, beaches, ..and finally, the lighthouse to secure the landing zone for the "Storm Lords" eventual return, after their expulsion. The lighthouse was built by the pirates after the first war, and is designed to be intimidating.
Look familiar? You've seen it here, before.
But hold it , right there! You're not gonna just walk up and knock on the door. Nothing quite so simple. As far as I can figure, the keys are being held by (yup, you guessed it) a Pirate Boss, "One Eyed" Wood Drake.
Me' old pal, and drinking buddy, "One Eye".
(come to think of it, he still owes me money).
(come to think of it, he still owes me money).
This be a pirate camp.
And this be "The Darling o' the Night"
Once you've got the Captain and Crew of "The Darling" taken care of, the 'easy' part is over. Now, you may begin your ascent of the Lighthouse, itself. Details get a bit scarce here, but you can expect not *one*, but *two* Boss battles, the first being with a pair of renegade lovers from the first war : Catalina (Catherine) Bruni (healer?) , and her lover, Captain Charles De Rossi. Why did they go rogue? The clues will be in the player dialogue.
At the last, but certainly not least, you face the Pirate King himself, "One Legged" Jean Drake, (you know, "One eye's" brother?). This guy is reported to be tough. He calls in support, and there's hints at a time limit to kill him. Definitely not a solo attempt. On the plus side, he drops "proprietary orange suits" and *may* drop "God Level" purple equipment. Hmmm...Pirate Farming..
