New blog for FW

Mundo Forsaken, a new Forsaken World blog (in Portuguese) is now up and running. AFJ would like to welcome them to our community of bloggers, and wish them success in the future.We're adding their blog to our list of links, and encourage anyone with a blog (regardless of language), to give us a shout, so we can all help get readers to their preferred languages.

And on a "Kindred Specific note" (for those of you who, like me, will be playing Kindred ), I'd like to mention Familila Il Demonico : , a Guild Site set for Closed Beta.

Right now, this blog is "all things Forsaken World", but once the dust settles, and we're well into open beta/final release, I will be focusing mainly on the Kindred...and most of that will be the Vampire class. So, to me, any site promoting Kindred Unity gets "thumbs up", in my eyes. And "Familia" espouses the "non-glittery" vampire heritage, and prefers a Victorian aesthetic, so it gets "double thumbs up", from me.

Guilds are already forming, all over, for the as-of-yet unannounced NA/EU betas. Our friend Vahrna has been studiously compiling a list HERE. Be sure to check it out.

Gaming is Serious business

Serious business, indeed. According to a new article by Gamasutra, U.S. Gamers (alone) spent 3.8 BILLION dollars in 2009, (The U.K. came in second at a distant 270 million). The graphic breakdown, of the top 6 countries, is as follows:

3.8 Billion? That's enough to arm a small country...or feed it.

(note that Asian countries don't seem to be calculated in, that would be interesting)

Another video from GTV. In this one, we go deep inside Perfect World, itself, for some *really* "inside" looks at Forsaken World. Unless you understand/read Chinese, it's gonna be a tough watch, (it's more for the hardcore "got to see *everything* crowd, and it loads uber-slow) The majority of the video (09:25 minutes long) is at a conference table in PWB, (I've annotated the FW footage below in "video notes".

I'd love to see Sam"QforQ"Houston take us on a tour of PWE. ;)
